Since trying these bone-in, skin-on Air Fryer chicken thighs, I’ve become a true fan of dark meat! While white meat, like Air Fryer chicken breast, is perfect for salads and sandwiches, there’s something about the juicy goodness of dark meat that’s hard to resist. Not to mention, bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs and legs are both budget-friendly and packed with nutrients. They’re leaner and contain more vitamins and minerals than chicken breasts, making them a healthy choice. Plus, they’re easy to prepare gluten-free and low-carb!

Air Fryer Chicken Drumsticks

Chicken drumsticks seasoned with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper, then cooked to crispy perfection in the air fryer. It’s a convenient and delicious way to enjoy tender chicken with minimal effort and maximum flavor.

Ingredients
  

  • 6 chicken drumsticks
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for approximately 5 minutes.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Dry the chicken drumsticks with paper towels, then coat them evenly in the seasoned olive oil mixture.
  • Arrange the seasoned chicken drumsticks in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
  • Cook the chicken drumsticks in the air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for 25-30 minutes, flipping them halfway through cooking for even browning and crispiness.
  • Once the chicken drumsticks are golden brown and cooked through (reaching an internal temperature of at least 165°F or 74°C), remove them from the air fryer.

Notes

Allow the chicken drumsticks to rest for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy them while hot as a delightful and crispy snack or meal!
