Ingredients

Instructions

  • Mix flour, salt, and sugar in a bowl. Gradually add water while kneading until you get a smooth, soft dough. Add oil, knead again, and cover for 30 minutes.
    1 ½ cups all-purpose flour, ½ tsp salt, ½ tsp sugar, ½ cup water, 1 tbsp oil
  • Divide the dough into equal balls, roll each out thin, brush with melted butter/ghee, and fold into a coil. Let it rest for 10 minutes, then roll it out again.
2 tbsp melted butter, 2 tbsp ghee
  • Heat a tawa or griddle on medium heat. Cook each parotta for 2–3 minutes per side, brushing with oil until flaky and golden brown.
  • Tear it, dip it, or wrap it up—parotta is best enjoyed fresh!
